Platelets rich in plasma or PRP is a natural product created by one’s own body. A small amount of blood is extracted from your body and placed in a sterile tube that is then centrifuged in special equipment to separate the different components within the blood.

Platelets rich plasma is also named plasma rich in growth elements. This is the blood plasma that has been enriched with platelets. As a concentrated source of platelets, it contains elements that stimulate and improve body tissues, one of them, being skin.

It is recommended to begin this facial rejuvenation treatment around 30 years of age, since skin begins losing its ability to regenerate at this age. Yet, this treatment can begin prior if the signs of aging are evident.
